Downton’s Jessica Brown Findlay on Coca-Cola, cologne and the Kirov.

Unlikely pin-up: George Harrison. I have worshipped him for years and still do. My boyfriend is safe now that he’s not around any more, but i have said on more than one occasion that i won’t ever love another man like him.
Defining feature: My ears. I’ve got four piercing in my left, so we’ve dubbed my right one the ‘period drama ear’ - I have to be filmed from that side when I do emotional close-ups in Downton.
Great escape: I haven’t taken a holiday in five years, so i’m desperate to go, preferably tucked away in Italy with good food and no phone.
Deja vu: When i was 15, i spent a season dancing with the Kirov Ballet at the Royal Opera House. The training was insane - five weeks with the most terrifying choreographer screaming at us in Russian, followed by his translator screaming at us in English. So it was incredibly surreal to get back on that same stage and present an award at the BAFTAs recently.

Daily essentials: Dior mascara. Eyelash curlers. And Topshop’s liquid eyeliner is great for doing little corner flicks.
Latest find: Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. The make-up artist on Downton used it on me - i’ve been obsessed ever since.
Make-up bag: It’s small and embarrassingly messy, i’m afraid. There’s usually a leaking pot of something, some eyeliner shavings and bits of broken jewellery lurking at the bottom.
Morning ritual: I brush my teeth in the shower - it’s the only way i feel completely clean.
Hair care: I’m lucky if i get a haircut once a year. And i don’t own a hairbrush. Stylists tend to hate me as i turn up to jobs with it all frizzy and bush-like, but Charles Worthington’s Full Volume Shampoo and Conditioner help to tame it.
Signature smell: A gorgeous cologne from Penhaligon’s called Endymion. I’ve worn it forever. It’s supposed to be for men but it’s totally delicious. The bottle is beautiful too.

Top tip… Coca-Cola - it fixes all manners of hangovers.
Home scent: Minestrone. My father cooks the most amazing Italian dishes.
Secret recipe: Spaghetti and meatballs, which my grandmother passed down to me. I made it for my last birthday - 30 friends turned up before we realised that i only had four chairs, so everyone had to eat standing up.
Feeling fit: I avoid the gym like the plague - i’ve never seen anyone looking happy in there. But i’m addicted to Bikram yoga; it’s the only form of exercise i’ve ever done that gets me excited.
Comfort food: Bacon sandwiches from a little cafe near my flat in north London. They use the thickest, crustiest white bread. I spend a ridiculous amount of time in there.
Can’t live without… Music. If someone erased all the songs that meant something to me, that would be the end.
